Account
Your Account
We provide you with an Infinitas connected Microsoft account to be used for your computer and for access to systems and apps.
This account may go under different names, "Microsoft account", "Windows account", "AD account", "Azure account", "Azure AD account", "Entra account", "UPN", "Infinitas account" are examples, still all the same account with different names.
It will be called your firstname.lastname@domain - we have 5 main domains, @infinitaslearning.com, @noordhoff.nl, @plantyn.com, @liber.se and @informat.be but they are all in the same main account system.
SSO
We use this account to link to apps and systems so you can use one and same account and password for login. This is called "SSO" (Single Sign On).
In our systems list it is noted what system uses this method of login and what systems we have set up using a separate login, not connected to your account with us. These services and systems use your email address when you register and a separate password. Make sure this password you set is NOT the same as for your Microsoft account.
The most common service we connect the account to is an email address and mailbox function. All new users get the account name and email address being the same, but older user accounts may have different account logins compared to email address, this you may see in our Outlook address book. Some contractors and suppliers may get an account with us for access, but it can be it is not connected to an email service even if the account looks like an email address, e.g. mickey.mouse@infinitaslearning.com. This is explained more detailed here.
Password
You need to change the password for your account every 60 days.

Choose a password that is complex, and make sure you do not use that password in any other account or service, on social medias or at shopping sites, as they can get hacked and lead to all your accounts being compromised. The complexity requirements are:
+ More than 14 characters
+ UPPER case letters
+ lower case letters
+ Numbers 1234567890
+ Special characters @£$€;\
- Not used in the last 10 times
- Not containg Microsoft most common words on their blacklist
- Not containing anything from your account, like name, address, office etc.
MFA (Multi Factor Authentication)
In combination with your account and password we have an extra security measure in place to avoid getting our accounts compromised.
When you sign into your online account, this is done with your username and a password. Like almost all online services (banks, social media, shopping etc.) Microsoft 365 accounts also have an added extra way for our accounts to be more secure. Called MFA or 2FA , a "Two-Step Verification". When you sign into the account for the first time on a new device or app (like a web browser) you need more than just the username and password. You need a second verification method to identify yourself. We strongly recommend you use the "Microsoft Authenticator App" for this, and install it on your smartphone. Also add a back-up method for verification in case that phone fails, brakes or get lost.

Here is more information on how to set up your MFA for your account.
First time you use it you will get prompted to add more information and go through the registration process.
Forgotten password
If you forget your password you cannot change it using the ordinary way. However, if you have set up your MFA correctly you can reset your password with your verification method.
Here is an article explaining how that is done.
